Frosé —a.k.a. frozen rosé — is the ultimate adult slushie. This pretty in pink treat has popped up on insta feeds and cocktail menus everywhere since its fluky inception a few years ago. Invented in the summer of 2016 by a curious New York bartender, frosé is the delicious love child of a bottle of rosé poured into a frozen drinks machine, blended with strawberries and vermouth. Genius!
While this frosé recipe works perfectly with Tempus Two Copper Rosé, we’ve opted to create a slightly more virtuous version using Tempus Two Lighten Up Rosé as the star ingredient. Lower in alcohol and in calories*, Tempus Two Lighten Up Rosé is full-flavoured, balanced and juicy, with refreshing notes of red apple peel, strawberry and maraschino cherry.
To make the slushie mix, the rosé is combined with fresh, juicy strawberries and given a dreamy tropical twist with the addition of coconut water, lime and mint.
The hardest part of this recipe is waiting for the freezer to do its thing and transform these ingredients into an irresistible icy delight ready to serve the next day.
