TEMPUS TWO + TANICA: COCKTAILS DONE DIFFERENTLY

Cocktails. Fun to make. A delight to drink. But often deceptively potent.

Depending on the alcohol content of the colourful concoctions you’re consuming, an evening of indulging in cocktails can be a short-lived experience.

That innocent-looking, sweet and fluffy poolside Piña Colada: 1.3 standard drinks; a brunchtime Bloody Mary: 1.4 standard drinks; a refreshing after-work Margarita: 1.7 standard drinks; that perky evening Espresso Martini: 2 standard drinks… and don’t even get us started on the perils of a Long Island Iced Tea!

At Tempus Two, we always strive to go beyond tradition, and cocktail-making is no exception. That’s why we recently teamed up with Tanica, an Australian-made low-alcohol spirit alternative and mixer made with native ingredients.

Tanica is available in two award-winning flavours, No.1 Salted Plum & Ginger and No.2 Desert Lime & Thyme, and they are all-natural, gluten-free, vegan and low in sugar and carbs.

While Tanica is a delight to drink on the rocks with just a splash of soda, it also makes fantastic low-alcoholic cocktails, especially when combined with our Tempus Two Lighten Up low-alcohol wine range.

Together, we’ve developed the following delicious summer cocktail recipes that are lower in booze but still big in taste, so you can stay in the moment longer.

Re-think your drinking, extend your happy hour, and wake up free of ‘hangxiety’ with Tempus Two and Tanica.

Each of these low ABV cocktail recipes equate to no more than one standard drink per serve.
