The climate in the Hunter Valley is mild and characterised by four very distinct seasons. Considered humid subtropical, with distinctive maritime influences from the Pacific Ocean. The Hunter Valley is one of Australia's hottest but also wettest wine regions. The Barossa is considered a Mediterranean climate typically experiences cool, wet winters and warm, dry summers, ideal for grape growing.
The fruit for this wine was crushed and destemmed upon arrival to winery. Inoculated with Alpha yeast followed up with CX9 yeast, cool fermentation takes place to maintain primary fruit characters.
